The renowned American Eagle Coins, also known as the American Eagle Bullion Coins, have been issued basically for collectors. That means they cannot be sold for commercial purposes. In 2006, the United State Mint released a limited edition commemorative set celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Gold and Silver American Eagle Coins. This set included a $50 Gold Eagle and a $1 Silver Eagle both uncirculated and bearing the West Point "W" mint mark. They both had their familiar designs with some unique features added on the obverse while the reverse field had been brilliantly frosted, which has made this set enormously popular with collectors and quickly sold out to add even more popularity to the American Eagle Coins.

These coins have attracted the collectors everywhere with its version of "Legislative Muse" in 2006. This astonishing coin shows the muse looking away from the law that she has just inscribed as she is seated between the two bodies of Congress, the House of Representatives and the Senate, represented by Corinthian columns.
